So a friend and I finally came here. And indeed, we will come back for more! When you first walk in, it is a nice-casual restaurant and the bar is designed very nicely and the seating is awesome. Fresh tastes with modern and burger joints collide to a pleasing atmosphere. The servers were decent, not the best of the best. I ordered the Lamb Burger without onion, accompanied with sweet potato fries. On top of the lamb meat stood a nice amount of herbed goat cheese. And wow. Medium rare lamb was perfection. I also had a strawberry mojito to offer a nice fruity drink with the flavors. There were only 2 mint leaves in the mojito, sadly. My friend had the All American burger with pickles. She enjoyed it very much, even though she asked for medium rare and got medium well. (Her soda was flat, but it happens.) It was still very good. I will absolutely return to try the milkshakes and more specialty beverages! Fabulous!

Chicken wings were so much better than we thought! Next time I may just get these buffalo wings.. They had a twist I can't put my finger on but you better believe I'm going back to figure out more. I got the buffalo bob burger and it was awesome. The onion rings on the burger tasted like they were battered in Mac and cheese. Bacon was awesome on it too and do I love bacon. My boyfriend got the All American burger and he said it was delicious. I have to believe him because I surely didn't get a taste! Great burgers, good service!

My husband and I came here for dinner tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Upon arriving, we were promptly seated. All of the staff members were friendly and attentive throughout the time of our visit. We started with a draft craft beer ($6 each) and an order of the fried jalapeños. The jalapeños aren't stuffed, so be warned that they have a bit of a kick to them. My husband ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger and I got the homemade vegan veggie burger. Both of us had fries on the side. The meat burgers range in price from $10-16, depending on the type of meat. The veggie burger was $12 with the side included. My husband's burger was cooked the way he wanted it and he found it to be quite tasty. I also enjoyed the veggie burger and crispy fries. The only downside with the veggie burger is that because it is thicker than most, it tends to cool down quickly. We thought there was a great dessert selection and opted to take a milkshake to go. It wasn't in great shape when we had it later in the evening. I recommend having a milkshake in person. Overall, we were very happy with our experience - food, drinks, and service - and definitely plan to come back in the future.

Went for dinner tonight with my wife. She had an All American Burger. I had the Samurai Salmon Burger. Wife said hers was a bit greasy. Mine was amazing. This is our favorite place for burgers and continues to exceed expectations.

This was such a cool place! The decor was amazing, the service was amazing, and the burgers were amazing! My boyfriend and I got the yoga party burger and the SOB burger and split them! We will definitely come back here again!

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon to a nearly dead empty restaurant. Unfortunately the lack of customers didn't put any pep in the steps of the staff as they seated us and took our orders. I ordered the Old Fashioned burger and was pleased with the taste, plus it was huge! I had the fried green beans as my side and boy was that a mistake. I literally had to peel the breading off to find a green bean playing hide and seek in the middle. So gross and greasy. I pulled the beans out of all the breading and offered the bowl of breading back to the waiter. The most amazing thing about the experience was the Brandy Alexander milkshake, it was so good. Next time I go it's for a milkshake and burger only!

The burger options are unique, the vibe is too cool, and the steamed broccoli makes me feel a little healthier. Kidding aside- I've ordered the Loosey Goosey, and the SOB, and I've enjoyed both. It's a little more posh and the prices reflect that- compared to other burger joints- but it hasn't scared us away. Besides, $5 off a birthday burger- that's pretty neat. I shall return, not unlike the Fly in the infamous Vincent Price movie.

The burgers were underwhelming for what was promised by the descriptions. Not much else to say about it, as that about sums up our experience

So. Many. Burger options. There's really something for everyone here. Even your dog! We came on a Saturday night and sat outside with our dog. Promptly received menus and drink orders were taken. My son ordered the Cookies 'n' Creme milkshake and the All-American burger. I ordered the Aloha chicken burger w/ sweet potato fries and a 3 Daughters Beach Blonde Ale to wash it down with. YUM. I haven't been able to sample any 3D beers yet since moving to the area, so was excited that Square 1 had them here! Oh, also ordered off of Jingo's menu for dogs and got the "Bigger Dogs" meal for my pup. All of the food was excellent! My burger was moist, bacon was crisp and thick. Lots of flavor from the pineapple ring and the teriyaki ginger sauce! Sweet potato fries were great! My son's milkshake was delicious. Will have to try the PB Nutella one next time from reading all of these reviews. My son enjoyed his meal as did my dog. She ate both of her chicken patties but did not eat the broccoli (LOL). Overall, great meal! Our server, Saverio was the best! Friendly and prompt service. We were the only table outside so very happy he obliged us with a smile as I'm sure the rest of his tables were inside and he still checked on us frequently. Actually, all of the staff we interacted with that night were on point. Will definitely return soon. :)

I have been coming here a lot lately as I've got hooked on the Kobe burgers and Kobe meatloaf. The service has been exceptional and the food never disappoints. I signed up for their emails and got a BOGO a month ago! Gotta love a deal at your favorite places!

Used to come here a lot, now I realize why we stopped, I will never come back here. Anything but beer and your at a loss. Cannot mix drinks well, the $15.00 burger special was cold and very disappointing. Even after the 20 min wait to place order. Food came out fast but maybe it was just sitting On the warmer. Extremely disappointing night. Wendy's Wouk have been better and $30.00 cheaper. Sorry square one maybe in another year we will try again. If your still here.

This place was excellent! Someone recommended it to us a few months back And my boyfriend loves burgers so we decided to try it tonight. Jeremy was our waiter, he was very attentive, made suggestions and provided great service! I had the Firebird which was delicious! My boyfriend had the Drunkin Pig and Bull and said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had. Must try, we will be back!

First time here and the staff and service was very good. The vegan burger with avocado was awesome and the strawberry salad was the best. Would definitely go again!

Great burgers and multiple other choices. Had All American burger for lunch today with cole slaw and wife had All American burger and Mac and Cheese (homemade and tasty!). Fun atmosphere. Great service.

If you haven't been here and had a burger, run, run to this place! Medium rare anything is fantastic. I would not have finished everything that I had, but the flavor compelled me to bloat myself. Along with the "adult" milkshakes, get the "f" out of here. It doesn't matter what area you live in, this is a worthy destination. No regrets whatsoever. Will be back often!

    (5)
  • Travis S.

First off order the Peanut Butter Nutella Milkshake, you won't regret it! I have only been here twice and both times were delicious. First time I ordered the Toga Party because that was one that the server recommended and then the second time I got the X-Rated Grilled Cheese and that was very good and different. I also get the sweet potato fries to go with it. Can't wait to go back to get that milkshake! Oh and the food!

I've been to Square 1 on a couple of occasions now, and I have had solid experiences both times. On the most recent visit, I opted for the Chickadees, which are chicken sliders with provolone cheese, sun-dried tomato mayo, lettuce and tomato. They were tasty, and the bun was especially fresh. My favorite part of my meal was the Nutella and Peanut Butter shake. It is nothing short of amazing. For those who love the peanut butter and chocolate combo, that is the shake to end all shakes. They also offer a bunch of beers on tap, some of the craft variety. Overall, it was a pleasant experience!

  • Rachel K.

They have so many options that it's hard to pick just one. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate their delicious homemade vegan burgers. Honestly the best one I've ever had anywhere in over 10 years of searching. It's got black beans and I dunno what else, but it is so incredibly tasty. Their brioche buns are ridiculous, and I love how many different burgers they offer. I almost always get the three mushroom burger and sub out a veggie patty for the meat. I can't get away from it, it's too good! The x rated grilled cheese is awesome, too though! They have a few adult milkshakes on the menu that look tempting, but the peanut butter Nutella one is our go to shake. Plus, it looks like you can bring your dog if you dine outside. So neat! The decor is unique and I think it's funny. Cool environment, and I've gone maybe 4 times now and it's always been packed. One of our faves, for sure!

Came here for the 1st time with my hubby... The burgers were ok.. A lil pricey! I ordered an all American cheeseburger med well w/ fries and my hubby got the sliders.. Had to send my burger back cuz it came out more like med rare... Gross!! I'm not eating a steak.. Got it back and now it's more like med.. I didn't say anything but when I order a burger I don't like to see blood and that's what I seen.. I just ate it cuz I didn't want to complain again... And my hubby's sliders were a lil bit small!! Definitely had way better!

Had high hopes for this place but found it to be a disappointment. I first want to mention that the floor they have is extremely slippery. Both my daughter and I almost fell walking to our table inside the restaurant. I don't think I've encountered that type of floor before. There were four in our party with three different burgers. I ordered Kobe Daddy Decadent. At 13.99 I was expecting a big burger with a lot of flavor. I took a bite and the sheer volume of grease coming out was sickening. The bottom bun was completely wet and saturated with far and the taste was lacking. I split mine with a friend and he split his American burger. When he cut it, the burger was raw, not even close to medium so we had to send it back. When the manager returned with a new burger I said I voiced my opinion about the amount of grease in the burger and that it is a turn-off to return here. The manager responded that they butter the buns but when my friend cut the new American burger in half the grease just oozed out from the burger itself. It was so gross. Surprisingly the taste of the American burger far exceeded the Kobe burger and it was $4 less. Another person at our table had Juicy Lucy and said it was good but yet none of the four of us finished our food because we all said it was too greasy to enjoy. The manager gave us two $10 coupons for our next visit but honestly, the amount of grease is a turn-off and it will be a long time before I can forget about the terrible grease in this food. Of course a juicy burger is expected to be a bit greasy but this was over the top. I'm only giving my rating two stars because the onion rings were tasty and the taste of the American burger is ok. Will not recommend this place.

I've wanted to try Square one ever since I looked at the menu. I'm definitly not a purest when comes to sandwhiches and burgers, I like condiments and toppings so Square one was the place for me. Well I had a groupon, so this helped me get to square 1 since the prices are on the higher end. Let's start with the decor, it's very interesting. I guess it's kind of a glam Texas style decor. Animal print with black and red and long horns on the wall and I think some studded things thrown in there. We sat down and we're greated by a server in training that I had a server with her. They both did a great job giving us space and time to talk, and eat when we were ready. They were friendly l, polite and efficient. They did a great job. On to the food, the best part. We started with the onion rings, that a great coating and was served with a delicious sauce to dip them in. The one problem which was a big one, was that there were tons of onion rings so be prepared to share with a few people :-). On to our burgers, neither one of us eats red meat so it was great that will substitute for any other type of meat. We decided to order the portabello burger and the poblano burger and substituted chicken. Since we were splitting they were nice enough to split everything including our sides, which was a nice touch. Both burgers had great flavor and the veggies were not over cooked which is really important to me. The only negative was that the bun on the chicken burger became a little soggy. The side of broccoli was cooked just right with light seasoning and the fried mac cheese was good but a bit too rich for me. Overall everything was really good and a definite plus is that they serves local beers. Woohoo.

Not very impressed. I ordered a regular cheeseburger and it was slightly below average. Decent quality meat, but nothing spectacular, and even though it was medium rare, it tasted a little dry. Lacked the flavor of a good burger. The fries were on the same level. Very bland, generic, not the kind of fries you'd expect from a joint that specializes in burgers. However, the service was very good and the decor was, um, interesting. Let's just leave it at that. The service and decor are the only reasons I gave this place three stars instead of two. Seriously doubt I'll be back.

Square 1 Burgers deserves an "A" for trying to have something for everyone. The restaurant is nice-looking on the inside, and looked clean. The prices are a little higher than a fast food-type restaurant, but the quality seemed high as well. We went for happy hour special pricing (3-6:00 pm every day) for an early dinner and were able to get drinks and appetizers for a reasonable price. For entree, they have an impressive selection of burgers to choose from including beef, tuna, lamb, mushroom and vegan. The side items include fried items like potato fries, fried green beans, and sweet potato fries. But beyond the usual fried items, they offer a number of healthy and tasty vegetables such as steamed broccoli, garlic green beans and quinoa with vegetables. I was impressed by the menu! You could easily make a meal of the side items if you don't want a burger. The service was fast and accurate, despite our group being large - 17 people. The restaurant looked clean and I did check the state health rating before I went. You can check out your favorite restaurants at: myfloridalicense.com/wl1… I would definitely recommend Square 1 Burgers to anyone looking for a varied menu.

Sweet decor. Think Texas Cattle meets old West saloon. Not that crowded for a weekend. Staff is great. The burgers are actually pretty good but at 'gourmet' burger prices I shouldn't have to order a rare burger to get a medium-rare one. Especially with so many different meat options, that doesn't give me confidence that the kitchen knows how to cook them all. Would love to see more bun and sauce options. Sides and soups were good too. The -2 stars is mostly just my own discomfort at how the meat is handled.

RELUCTANT REVIEW: We have been there a minimum of 4 times, and the quality keeps falling each time. The pros: Wait staff is polite, prompt, and professional. The menu options are written well and are very appealing. They have branded the store well. The cons: Horrible execution of the menu items. Every protein item is pathetically small. The portions of all meals resembled kid's sizes. All soups look and taste like they came straight from the can. The prices are way out of line for the size and quality of the meal. The short version: A great concept poorly executed. Truly tiny portions at a high price. Good FOH staff handicapped by the chefs and management. For someone considering this restaurant, be prepared to be impressed with what you see, not what you eat. A disappointment we will not be repeating.

I was here in the past and ordered my burger well done. It came back red. Was here tonight for a friends birthday and my burger was again not well done. Red inside. My friend has the lamb burger and had to send it back and then when it came back, still not well done. Double check your food. The fried mac and cheese was good for the appetizer. But since this happened twice, I won't be returning.

My fiance, aunt and I stopped for dinner after a long day in gulf port. The seating on the patio was cool and comfortable. The bartender was knowledgeable when it came to local craft beer. I orderd the teryaki burger on a turkey paty with a lettuce bun. The burger was cooked perfectly. The teriyaki sauce wasn't overly salty like some. For my side, I had quinoa and veggies which were full of flavor. They also offer chicken, bison, lamb, salmon and beef patties. Stop in!

I have been wanting to try Square 1 every since they opened in Tampa and I never had the chance to make it out to that location. I am so happy that one is open now in St. Pete. I'm not sure what I was expecting walking into this restaurant, but I am pretty sure my Husband had to pick my jaw up off the floor. The decor is CHEESY....like bad retro redneck (is that a thing?) club decor. Red, Black and White and Cowhide booths. Wow. Good thing I was there for the food. We were quickly seated and then greeted by the bartender who was our waiter (we were in real seats, but it was near the bar). He was awesome. He made suggestions and joked around with us. I tried a peanut butter nutella shake that he recommended....pure heaven. I didn't even think to get a picture of it because that baby disappeared fast. It was really smooth and not too rich or peanut buttery. For our burgers we kept it simple. I was really wanting to try the Buffalo Bob, but I figured it was best to stick to regular hamburger for my first visit. I do love that they have Buffalo, Kobe, Salmon and other various burgers. My Husband ordered a BarBQue Bacon with onion rings and I ordered a 3-Mushroom with sweet potato fries. While I really loved my Mushroom burger (the sauce and mushrooms were outstanding), my Husband's burger was by far the favorite. I think it had to do with that Applewood Bacon. Ummm Bacon. His onion rings were some of the best that I have ever tried. The batter was light and fluffy and the oil was obviously fresh. I enjoyed my sweet potato fries too, but the onion rings are where it's at. By the end of our meal, I had forgiven Square 1 for their cheesy decor and fell in love with the place. Amazing food. Great service. I can't wait to try more things on their menu and I hope that they continue to live up to my expectations.

Holy Crap that was a good burger! I had the SOB (south of the border) burger. It was so juicy I couldn't put it down. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to pick it up again. The decor was so cool. Red crystal chandeliers mixed with cow print booths. Funky but chic! I will be a regular from now on!

  • Ruby S.

Mmmm! Definitely some of the best burgers I've ever had. I had the Turkey Cobb and I ate the whole thing which is rare for me. We went during a slow lunch hour and one waiter was running the whole FOH by himself and doing a great job. One star loss because the decor is HIDEOUS. We almost just turned around because it was just so outrageous we figured the food would be equally awful, but surprise surprise. They really REALLY need to do something about it because it totally clashes with their great menu. Keep your eye on your plate and you'll be happy!

    (4)
  • Danielle B.

For someone who doesn't really eat burgers, I really enjoy the food at this place! I really like the they have different meat options for the burgers (I like the turkey). The portions are not overly huge, but I actually like that. The onion rings are really good (they have them on special of you go on a Wednesday).

    (5)
  • SallyCinnamon C.

Service was really good. Loved the roomy booth and we noticed the place is very spacious - you have plenty of privacy from the other tables. Food was decent, but didn't really stand out that much - it's a burger chain. Great options and good for families and people of all ages.

  • Mary B.

I had dinner here with my family for the 3rd time this past weekend. I thought the first time I dined here that the staff, cooks and management needed time to settle in and tweak a few things since it had only been open for a couple of weeks. Service was slow and the food, well, nothing to rave about. I gave it another whirl a couple of months later. Again, mediocre at best. This past weekend some family members picked this place to have dinner together as a group. I didn't want to spoil the plan so I agreed to give it one more try. Disappointment once again. In fact I would confidently state worse. Here are some of the reasons why: Keep in mind the least expensive burger on the menu is $9.99 The Old-Fashioned. A burger on a sesame seed bun with American cheese, red onion, dill pickle slices and mustard. They only go up in price from there. The onion rings ($8.99) are the most flavorless I've had just about anywhere. Have y'all heard of salt? Or any seasoning for that matter? The burgers we all had: ($13.99 - $18.99) Buns, stale. Meat, under/not seasoned. Couldn't tell the difference in flavor, texture, etc. between the "Angus beef, "Kobi beef" and/or "Buffalo". We tried all 3. Fries, limp and cold. French onion soup, thick and oddly flavored. Sliders ($10.99), cold. Management unprofessional, immature and obviously not to concerned about how the kitchen operates. The manager was preoccupied playing catch with one of the guys on his staff.

  • Daniel K.

Ok, I'm a fan! First great choices on the menu, unlike other boutique burger places, here we can get some exotic meats besides buffalo and cow. Second, the cook knows how to season a burger and cook it to order, medium rare buffalo was perfect, third the killer onion rings, fourth the great malts, and of course you can't this far without good service.

Overpriced and undersized, $52 for 3 burgers, sodas and 6 chicken wings. Food was decent but not great

I'm so glad we tried this place! I had been hesitant when it first opened because of the not-so-great reviews at first. But we were wondering around for dinner on a weeknight and decided to give it a go. First of all - the place is cool. I love the decor and ambiance. Our server was super sweet and attentive - unfortunately the name is escaping my memory right now but I think it starts with a J. We ordered the wings to start with buffalo sauce. They were smoky and amazing! I don't even think they need the sauce because of the great flavor they have from the cooking technique. I ordered the All American. My Grandpa taught me to always order a more plain burger at these fancy burger places and see if they can cook just a plain old cheeseburger the right way! He cracks me up with his tests. Anyway, the All American wasn't necessarily "plain" - lettuce tomato onion etc but mine lived up to the name. It was juicy, cheesy, and just the right size for me. BF got the rise & Shine. His was a bit overcooked for the "medium" he ordered and that would be our only major complaint. We ordered the zeppoles for dessert and while they aren't the traditional zeppoles I remember eating as a kid- they were delightfully fluffy and the sauces were sweet! I recommend mixing the sauces together!

First try for Square 1, but was immediately turned off by the brothel like decor that mixed red crystal chandeliers, red velvet headboards, antler chandeliers, a black/while pattern and barnyard art. We started out with a glass of their house wine and deep-fried green beans with chipotle sauce. The app had not been drained enough and was oily, so our server immediately offered replace it or take it off the bill. He was professional and friendly throughout the meal. We also had their smoked wings and chopped salad. The wings were flavorful and the salad was average. However, when they said chopped, they really meant it! Nothing stood out as exceptional, but nothing was so horrible that we crossed them off the list of lunch spots. Just not our favorite place.

Been here several times. They have a great happy hour with drink and appatizer specials. Can't go wrong with the fried pickles! The fried mac and cheese is AMAZING, I pay the extra $2 to upgrade it as my side with whatever I order. Totally worth it. I'm not a fan of onions, but when I see onion rings go by, it makes me want them. On my most recent trip I tried the Aloha burger, think I found my new favorite! Ground chicken with a grilled pineapple slice, swiss cheese, and a teriyaki sauce. Their other burgers are great as well. The only thing I have tried and did not care for was the chili dog. The hot dog was greasey and I did not like the chili. A great place go go.

Steak and shake makes a better burger. Won't be back. Fried mac and cheese over done, burger was dry.

Five of us had appetizers and different orders. Everything was great. The onion rings were perfect. My Juicy Lucy burger was definitely juicy and more than met my expectations. All five people were very happy with their food and will return again. Looking forward to trying the mac and cheese. We had a server in training, which was ok, but the manager came by and gave us free appetizer cards for our next visit. I will definitely be back.

First time trying, and it was $43 for 2 burgers (old fashioned w/ onion rings, and juicy lucy w/ fries) 2 shakes (nutella & peanut butter and mocha-coffee) and the fried mac n cheese w/ bacon app. Hubby seemed ok with his old fashioned, but I've had a better juicy lucy at the Avenue in DTSP. Mocha-coffee shake was really good, but npb shake tasted like a vanilla shake with small blobs of pb floating in it. Fries were good, but the onion rings tasted more like lightly battered grease. Fried mac n cheese was decent, but def not my top choice for it. Had high hopes for this place, as its really close, and wanted a replacement for the Ave when I don't want to drive that far, but for the price, not worth it and won't be back.

Now that's a tasty burger. I ordered the BBQBacon burger with onion rings and neither disappointed. The lettuce, onion, beefsteak tomato and BBQ sauce didn't win the day, the burger did. It was a perfectly cooked medium angus burger with great taste from the meat as well as the grill. As everyone notes, they have top notch onion rings. I hate the over battered, sweet onion rings most places offer and Sq1 has a lightly battered, crispy ring that leaves you satisfied. Wifey was in the mood for chili and ordered the delicious chili dog with onion rings. It's a full footlong beef dog with great taste and the chili adds just the right spice. The onions and cheddar only made it that much better. Oh, I failed to mention the $3 craft brews and $4 martinis offered on Thirsty Thursday, so if there's typos and misspellings, it's cause I was THIRSTY!

Third times the charm. I love this place more every time. Great service and the burgers are so delicious. They are simple but with burst of flavor. Them woohoo fries tho! And they have fat tire so

I really had a "five star" experience this past Saturday at lunch. The service was beyond attentive...including a visit from the manager who gave me a coupon for a free app or dessert on the next vsit. I came wanting a burger, but instead got a spicy Tulsa dog (split fried dog on a toasted hoagie bun, with sriracha mayo and heaped chopped bacon and peppers). It was unbelievably good. The chocolate shake was also outstanding (made with real ice cream). I will definitely be back...great vibe to the place and a lot of interesting items on the menu! Pricier than a diner, but worth it for the selection and quality. Dee-lish!!

Nice happy hour prices. My 3-shroom burger was yummy in my tummy. The old mans burger was over done. The manager came just to ask how things were and he told them it was over done. We really didn't have time for reorder which was offered. The manager took his burger off the bill, really without him complaining. Service was quick. They are obviously customer service oriented and that's what will being us back again even though his burger was cooked improperly.

Kudos to Crystal H, for her review that lured me to St Pete and Square 1 Burgers. We arrived around 6:00pm on a Thursday night and were seated right away. Brian H. our waiter was exceptional in every way. He took the time to explain the drink specials and meals. Very detailed, seeing we told him it was our first visit. We started with an app of handmade double dipped onion rings, which were very good. Thick sliced with a crunchy outside served with their own Sooner sauce, which is a mixture of chipotle, mayo, sour cream, and buttermilk. Excellent. Of course we both ordered burgers. My Bride the rise and shine burger, with applewood smoked bacon, fried egg, caramelized onions, changed the gruyere for American cheese on a brioche bun. She almost ate the whole thing! Lol, she left a bite for me. She chose steamed broccoli as her side, which she said was perfect. I chose the all American burger on a sesame seed bun with American cheese, leaf lettuce, beefsteak tomato, red onion, and mayo. I added the applewood bacon also. This was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, period. I needed multiple napkins to clean myself with, due to it being juicy, messy, and delicious. My side was French fries that I ordered with a side of beefy mushroom gravy. Can't say enough good comments on this meal, other than to say.....I've found my new goto burger place! Brian H. was an excellent representative, explaining most of the menu to us without being pushy. 5 stars for Brian also.

I'm not really a meat eater but my bf loves hamburgers so when he found this place he was really impressed with himself. All of the burgers can be substituted for chicken, turkey burger, bison, or Kobe. He really liked the angus but when he tried the Kobe he didn't think it was worth it. I was able to substitute for Turku burger and it was pretty good. This place also has what they call woohoo fries which is very very close to poutine, not quite as good but it does the trick. Poutine = fries, cheese, and gravy The first time we were here we got milkshakes and they were absolutely to die for, the place wasn't too busy and the service was great. The second time we came back, the place was busy there wasn't enough staff working, we ordered milkshakes again they were awful, and basically just chocolate milk. Took forever to get our food and I wasn't as impressed as the first time. Mixed feelings I'll have to return.

I love this restaurant. I've been there several times, and tried several different burgers. I have to say, spend the extra and upgrade to the buffalo meat, it's so tender and delicious. The food is always fresh and the service has always been wonderful. I'm getting hungry just writing this review.

Diner here for the lunch the other day. The service was as good and friendly as you will find anywhere. I wasn't super hungry when we got here, so our table got a $3 order of onion rings on special (great deal) and the egg roll appetizer. Both were pretty good. My wife and I shared the grilled cheese sandwich which was good but a tad greasy. Overall, I would definitely return the next time I am in town.

My sister took me here, and I was unbelievably excited to try it. I went for the Very Veggie Vegan burger, and I was not disappointed. This is a massive burger that puts all other veggie burgers to shame. It's made with delicious brown rice, flavorful black beans, corn, carrots, mushrooms and a bunch of other ingredients they don't list. It's a house-made burger, which I completely appreciate. It's hard to find a veggie burger that doesn't fall apart when you eat it. The previous winner of my Best Veggie Burger Ever was at Plant Organic in San Francisco, but this one puts it to shame simply because it stays held together. It's firm, it doesn't crumble and it's freaking amazing. There's so much to talk about when it comes to this veggie burger. It was topped with beautiful and creamy slices of avocado and the best hummus I have ever had. It was nestled between a delicious whole-wheat bun with oats. Perfection. I got an order of fries, but I was offered onion rings, baked beans and coleslaw as options. These are not vegan, but the fries are. Speaking for the fries, those were generic. I mean, potatoes and potatoes in my opinion, and these weren't anything special. My sister got the Aloha burger and fried pickles as well as a Brown Cow milkshake. She isn't vegan, but I can say that she happily devoured half of her burger and saved the other half. These portions are huge! There are several happy-hour type specials available here. Until 6pm you can get $3 appetizers, and then there are drink specials too. I can't remember what they were specifically, but I highly recommend checking those out. I will be going back here before I leave the area. I can't get that veggie burger out of my mind. My total was $20 for one person, but it was so worth the money. Next time I'll probably cut costs a little by getting just water and no extras. Hit this place up if you're near one, and you won't be disappointed. Vegans are in for an especially good treat while eating here!

Absolutely horrible! From the service to the food this place is horrible. The drinks are expensive and the food is disgusting ! Ordered a IPA and they served it in a tulip glass... The burgers were way too salty and very under cooked (raw). The service was nonexistent !

Hip and happening new burger spot near Mad Beach. Fun and a bit fashion forward decor...think bovine brothel...food and service were excellent...not your pops same old grilled burgers. Good selection for vegetarians too! Try the X-rated cheese sammie!

Square 1 Burgers and Bar came to St. Pete about 2-3 months ago and from the outside it looked nice, fun, and cool so I decided to purchase a Groupon. I went with my one of best friends and we had a nice time. We went on an early Monday evening just before our walk on the Pinellas trail. First, we were greeted with a smile from the hostess who showed us the featured items on the featured item board. She was very excited about their fried pickles. The inside was well laid out with fresh and clean look and you can never go wrong with red an black. Soon after we sat down the waiter was there to greet us with enthusiasm. We ordered the pulled pork egg rolls, which were different from the traditional egg rolls but very tasty nonetheless. They were not greasy and the sooner sauce was a perfect compliment. For my dinner I ordered the barbeque bacon burger, which came with many side choices such as fries, baked beans, coleslaw, and steamed broccoli. I ordered the broccoli and it was perfect. It came out steamed and hot. The burger was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Overall the service was great and the food was great! I will definitely go again.

The burgers here are the best I've had in the area. We like a burger done medium to rare and this place does it! Other places bring them well done no matter how you order them. We highly recommend Square 1.

  • Manish B.

This place isn't too bad at all. The decor is kinda weird red black and white with giant portraits of cows staring at you. This isn't a fast food kind of burger place, nice seating with a full bar, can sit down relax and have a few drinks whilst waiting for the burgers. As far as the burgers, they are tasty, they have an exotic one every month, last time it was elk and then kangaroo. My kid is pretty finicky with food but she loved her burger and ate the whole thing. Only bad part is the sides, they are uninventive and bland as best, even the fried jalapeno's were sub par. I will return for the burgers as there are many different ones I would like to try.

I've never had a bad meal here. I will say that I have a strange love of the fried pickles and always burn my tongue. They always have interesting specials. I just had the Cuban special which was delicious. They also offer Turkey patties for the people who aren't beef oriented

We stopped in for a quick bite. Split the SOB burger with fried jalepenos. All delicious! Bartender was very nice. Love the decor. happy Hour is M-F. 3-6 and pretty good prices.bgood draft beer selection and full bar

Solid burger restaurant. Now granted, these are gourmet burgers and as such, you'll pay a premium price to enjoy them, but I assure you, they are worth every dollar. I love the wide variety of meats that you can use in place of your normal ground beef. I highly recommend the Bison (buffalo) burger with your favorite cheese and toppings. Trust me, if you've never had a bison burger, you need to fix this atrocity immediately! You life has been lacking something, and that something is a bison burger. Not only is it better tasting that beef, but it's also MUCH healthier for you as well. They also have a solid beer selection, with a number of unique craft draft selections. The staff is always really friendly and helpful, but I have noticed that the management is a bit uncharismatic and not as upbeat as it's service staff. Perhaps they work too much, I'm not really sure.

A bar maybe. Not a great burger place. They do serve odd and unique burgers if you are into that like Gator, Ostrich, Buffalo, etcetera. But the burgers are mediocre and the presentation lacking. Decor is...odd.

  • Katie M.

Burger was good, other food not as much. We sat and throughout our entire meal listened to 2 of their servers chat about the ups and downs of their other job: strip club. This was all happening at the table right next to us during the normal dinner rush on a Saturday.

Rise & Shine Burger was delicious. Loved what bacon, fried egg, grilled onions and gruyere cheese added to this American Classic!

  • Joanie H.

The burgers are very yummy. The choices are pretty large too. I've been here about three times and it is consistently good eats. The burgers are pricy, but you get what you pay for. I haven't tried the shakes, but they are available. If they are anything like their burgers, they are fantastic. I have been fortunate enough to find a coupon to bring with me each time. It helps the wallet a bit. The beer selection is wide. We enjoy their craft beers or beers from the tap and they are reasonably priced. I would stop by if you are hungry and in the mood for a big hamburger. Oh, I love the SW decor and the wait staff is friendly and attentive.

Kind of corny decor but they're serious about the food. Many burger meats to choose from. The Angus was super tender. GREAT happy hour.

  • Erin Elizabeth R.

Ok - with all the hype I've seen and heard for this place, I had my expectations rather high. I don't understand their decor at all. It's like cowboy meets burlesque. Odd, right? Anyway, on to the menu. They have "gourmet" burgers which is appealing to me. However, the execution is poor. I found the burger to be bland. Nothing special. The fries were frozen and simply deeo fried and thrown on the plate. There's something missing in the kitchen there. Like passion. It's lacking big time, and being reflected in the food. Want an awesome burger in Pinellas? Hit up Engine No.9 in downtown St. Pete, they won't disappoint.

Holy burgers, where do I start? First of all, the decor is like a vampire brothel...lots of red velvet and black accents, mood lighting, etc... totally crazy and awesome. Love it. Second of all, GRAVY FRIES WITH CHEESE. These were not quite Canada but the gravy was rich and salty with lots of mushrooms and cheese, and the fries beneath were piping hot and crisp. A delicious American substitute. They had other appetizers on the menu that looked equally delicious but woo hoo fries are where it's at. For my entree I had the Drunken Pig and Bull burger which was loaded with cheese, bbq pulled pork, and a tangy sauce. SO GOOD. There was just enough of the toppings to meat patty ratio that I still felt like I was eating a burger without any gimmicks. My husband had a lamb burger and was equally as impressed. Service was good here, especially for how busy they were for a Tuesday night. Our server checked on us constantly and always managed to keep my husband's iced tea full. He was friendly without being overwhelming. We shared a little banter which was fun. Overall, I really got a good impression from here and will be back soon for happy hour and their various specials.

I had an amazing meal at Square One. The drinks are on a happy hour special until 7 PM and it includes everything except top shelf liquor. We ate dinner at the bar and had a great dining experience. The bartenders were attentive and worked together to make sure you have everything out need. The queso appetizer tasted a little like Velveeta and Hormel chili, so I would not suggest this appetizer. The burgers are pricey but AMAZING. The bacon bleu burger is the best I have ever had. Join the email club and you will get email coupons to help reduce the cost of the burgers. They send out any burger specials for the week too. I love this place. It is easy to get into and out of as well, so the location is great for locals. I have already told several friends about it and highly suggest it!

I don't know why but I have been on a burger binge lately. Was in St. Pete beach and just did a search on 'best burgers in St. Pete" This place was the closest to where we were so we have it a shot. I had the rise and shine with Kobe beef, not sure if it was Kobe or Kobe style. Bottom line excellent burger, excellent service.

  • Isaak S.

Finally got around to trying this place. I'm a burger fanatic and I can say I was not disappointed. My burger was perfectly cooked and not over seasoned. Bun was excellent as well as the toppings for my burger. Prices were exactly where I expected a gourmet burger place to be. My only knock is that the parking lot was kinda crowded due to the other businesses in the plaza and hard to navigate and that my french fries were too seasoned, but the burger is the important part and they nailed that.

A great new burger place. I know Tampa has had one or more of these for a while - glad that St. Pete finally got one. Burgers here are awesome....Duck burgers ??!?!?!?! Heck yeah. I had the rise and shine burger, fried eggs anyone....and they did it right. No cooked yolks here - nice and runny, like an egg burger should be.....good job. Full bar and great beer selection. Great indoor/outdoor split bar with air curtains preventing smoke from entering restaurant and A/C from leaking outdoors.....servers were friendly and always recommending something (good training) I hope this place does well and will definitely be back. Kudos to Zack the bartender, what a great guy!!!!

UPDATE: I had the mushroom burger and sooner sauce on the side and it was awesome. Wife had old fashioned, child had mini cheeseburgers. Everyone was sharing the Sooner sauce, its like a spicy ranch style sauce, kind of like the blooming onion sauce at Outback. We also had the heath bar cheesecake which was awesome. I had this place rated at 2 stars and I am now raising it to a 4. The only reason its not a 5 is the prices are a little high. If you sign up for email club you get a instantly emailed 5.00 off coupon so make sure you do that before you go.

This place is great. We have been twice now. Each time we have been seated fairly quickly. Our servers have been very attentive and knowledgeable. And the food - it has been excellent. Both times I ate the Portabella Burger. It is topped with avocado, goat cheese and greens. It is down right delicious. And it's great because while you can get fries or baked beans or veggies with your burger, for a small charge you can upgrade to sweet potato fries (delicious), onion rings (amazing) or fried pickles (I don't eat them but everyone else at the table thought they were great. Also, the kids meals are reasonably priced and a good portion. We will definitely be back.

Some of the best Burger's I've ever had! We've been there a few times. The service is the most lacking part. could use some training on customer service, but other then that great food! I will continue to go despite the service. They are still newer so I'm sure it will be better. The decoration is pretty crazy, but really fun! They will very successful.

Food was good and tasty... Service left something to be desired as the waitress seemed to have an attitude problem... Won't mention names cough (ginger) cough. Also would have been nice to know about the up charge when switching onion rings for the fries. Still worth four stars though.

Well, let me start by saying the food was good, not great, but good. What killed me and I still talk about it today though it's been almost 6 months, is my bill with tip was almost $100 for 3 people! Had just hamburgers with sides (two of us - one just had the burger), two drinks, and two sodas. I love the deco - location is not so hot, but I can't afford to go there again. Don't know what kind of meat they use for burgers, but it's gotta be the cows living large!!!

Very clean and friendly people, we were seated quickly and noticed the floor smelled like spilled vinegar. We ordered and our food came quickly, sadly the fries were like warm and not crispy from sitting a while. My burger was visually appealing until I picked it up and the bottom bun was soaked with grease/water all the way through, I removed it and had to use napkins to soak up the grease from the plate and patty. The Philly Burger had very few sautéed onions and peppers on it, when the waitress came by we notified her of the bun/grease and she offered to replace my wife's burger saying it was all the sauce they put on hers that made My bun saturated. The manager came by very nicely and had the excuse that the onions and peppers are precook end and sometimes the cooks don't drain them enough (sorry it was grease and not watery peppers/onions that didn't have much moisture), we were offered free desert as a kind gesture but as my mouth was coated with grease (about like after eating McDonald's) we declined. Total bill was $30.00 for two substandard burgers, they tasted as if they were partially cooked and kept warm (which explains the saturated greasy/watery bun) then heated up with fresh pepper added along with Luke warm fries. Definitely not worth a repeat trip for us, the appearance was great but the vinegar smell by not cleaning up the floor was unappetizing. We were seated within hearing distance of the the servers hangout area and were able to listen to a male server who was rude and not very kind talking about toward customers or the Food Service Industry as a whole. We won't be returning as once was enough even though many of you enjoy an over priced lunch, I'm all for spending good money for a good product. Service was again fast, cheerful and very kind but the atmosphere with a few and the food dictates better places exist in the area.

Been to Square 1 about a half dozen times since its opening. Every visit has been outstanding. My husband and I went for lunch today and had another great experience. Our server was Hannah. Very friendly and helpful to my husband, who has an allergy to gluten. She helped pick items that would be safe and even made sure he could have the ingredients in the baked beans. It's nice to interact with a server who is so concerned for her customers. Food was delicious and a good value. They are dog friendly on the outside patio and serve them a nice bowl of ice water. The food, drinks and service are all 5 star. Love it.

Now THIS is a burger joint! Hands down the greatest burgers we have had. Been there 6-8 times so far. The burgers are not crazy huge, which is fine. All very creative. Favorite is the rise and shine with bacon and egg on a thin brioche bun. We have also liked the Philly cheese steak and the blue cheese. Not thrilled with the lamb burger. Onion Rings are excellent, fries are fine. We Tried the fried pickles, nothing special. Service at the Tyrone location and in Brandon has been excellent

A classy hamburger restaurant, the decor is amazing. Staff is very attentive and the Kobe beef is awesome! Again, the decor is great! I spent 15 minutes just looking around, menu and beer selections, huge! Vegans have options also! I will be back!

I am so excited to finally have a Square 1 in St. Pete! Square 1 recently posted a BOGO deal on Facebook. It was too good to pass up! We visited on a Wednesday and the special was $3 onion rings. Several tables got the onion rings, and they looked and smelled delicious. We didn't order them this time, but will in the future. The serving was very large, and enough for 2-3 to share. What a deal! I got the 3 Mushroom Burger. I loved it but next time I will get it without the special sauce (Sooner sauce I think it's called). It didn't go well with the mushrooms and just didn't taste that great. I liked the french fries too. The best part was the Peanut Butter and Nutella milkshake. It's a little pricey at $4.50 but it was so good. They come around with a dessert tray with fake replicas of the dessert options. I thought this was cheesy and seriously, fake replicas? I would rather just hear about the desserts. Our server was nice and enthusiastic. We did have a 10 minute wait when we arrived about 7:30. I foresee a very busy location in Tyrone.

I had the lamb burger and it was amazing. I would highly recommend trying some of their unusual burgers. They did a great job with the fries and the waiter was extra helpful in telling me they could cook them a little extra so they would be the right amount of crunchy. I also had the caramel shake which was yummy but very sweet even for my ultra sweettooth so I would recommend sharing it rather than having a whole one.

I was totally prepared to love this place. The decor is great and I'm a sucker for a good burger. The problem was, the food let me down. I ordered a 3-Mushroom Burger. What arrived was a mess of literally almost raw, greasy meet that had no actual flavor and cold fries. Now, I like my meat medium to medium rare, so I'm not squeamish about pink or reddish meat; This was steak tartare on a bun. It was purple. It was cold inside. My friends burger was also very undercooked but he didn't want to wait for another one, so he picked at the edges of his. I showed mine to the waiter who cringed and took it back to be cooked. While my dining partner ate, I waited and waited for my burger. Finally, it came. After all of that time, it somehow managed to still be grossly undercooked. Over it, I gave up and took the approach of my friend and ate the more cooked meat on the edges. What was supposed to be a fun dinner for two turned into us eating separately. A manager did come over and apologized for the raw burger. He said that it was a new cook who wasn't trained yet. The apology was nice but he should have offered to comp the burger (especially since he could see 2 piles of half eaten burgers on our plates), a drink or a dessert. Personally, I think if you're charging 12 bucks for a burger and you mess 3 of them up in a row to where the party can no longer enjoy their meal, the manager should take the items off the check. It's a burger place; there's no excuse for charging full price for a really bad burger. The bottom line? They served 3 burgers, one after they were on notice that they had undercooked the first 2, and they still managed to ruin the 3rd one. I won't be going back. Overpriced and the quality just isn't there.

Definitely not gourmet! had the regular american burger, tasteless and to small, fries were frozen not fresh, onion rings were good, service was good, also there was a funny unpleasant odor in the restaurant. Will not go back

  • Ted C.

Love the concept. They offer a great selection of burgers, awesome onion rings, and beer choices. Atmosphere and value are great. They REALLY need to improve their buns. If your going to serve Kobe, Duck, Buffalo etc. you GOTTA put it on a quality piece of bread.

Phenomenal burger! Went there for the first time last night. Place was packed! Had the option of sitting at bar vs 25 min wait for a table. Opted for the bar. I had a medium rare Juicy Lucy w/o bun on a bed of fresh greens. It was great! Cooked exactly as ordered! Had a side of coleslaw that I won't order again. Was far too hot for me. Broccoli looked good. Will definitely return on a regular basis!

My wife and I went to the restaurant tonight and were seated right away at about 9:30PM. Our server was Pam and she was very nice, attentive and friendly. She gave us many of her favorites as suggestions. We started out with the mozzarella, tomato and basil and it was AWESOME! We went with the Juicy Lucy and the X-rated grilled cheese so my wife and I could split it. The burger was good and I got some sauteed jalapenos to put on it and they were yummy. Had a minor issue with the grilled cheese sandwich and told the waitress. A few minutes later the manager was over and took care of the entree, got us dessert and even went above and beyond that. Thank you Jeff! The "fried ricotta doughballs" were AWESOME. The raspberry sauce and chocolate sauce that came with them tasted great by themselves. On Pam's suggestion, we combined the two. A team effort also for the tables as Bob came by and checked the water for us and also gave us some good suggestions. We will be back and hope to give it a five next time.

I've been to Square 1 in Tampa and this new location does not compare. I was kind of shocked by the decor. Not my thing, but hey, maybe others like it. We waited a long time for a waitress to acknowledge us and finally after a manager walked by, they realized no one spoke to us yet. Maybe it was a bad day for our server, but she was a little flakey. We were there on a Saturday afternoon about 3pm, so the place was fairly empty. She took our order of two salads, and came back with two salads, no chicken. The manager got involved and brought chicken out for my salad (my friend didn't order chicken I guess), and there were several items on the salad that we asked to have on the side...sigh. The manager was very good and paid for our meal, but still, it doesn't say much for a place to have so many problems on our first visit. I'll give it another try just because the manager was very apologetic, and hopefully they will get it together before my second visit.

  • Elizabeth B.

My husband and I came in for lunch the food was awesome but the service was really slow. It took at least 10 minutes for the server to great us. He later explained he had a party of 8 with separate checks so that was understandable. No problem. Then we got our lunch he said he would check back to see how everything was and he never did! We just wanted a couple of boxes and the check but that took at least a half hour. My husband ended up having to go find him. The manager even was walking around and didn't come up to ask what we needed. But regardless the food was really good and so was the atmosphere.. Maybe they were just having a bad day. I'd go back and prob sit at the bar.

I would give 5 stars but there is no consistency in this chain. The fries and Juicy Lucy burger not nearly as good as the same items at the Tampa location, they are completely different here and not as good. Nearby tables were complaining about the same thing. Been to this location 5 times and it seems like service and food quality really suffers on the weekend and I don't really consider it that busy. Took forever to get drink refills and servers seemed stressed out. On a more positive note the onion rings are a must here but bring a large group if you plan on finishing this mile high pile of double battered goodness. I am a big fan of substituting buffalo on my burger ( less greasy, taste great, and not gamey at all). Besides buffalo you can choose to make your burger with turkey, kobe beef, chicken as well as venison and ostrich burger on occasion. Grab a milkshake if you don't feel like one of their many draught beer offerings.

We were excited to try this newer place, but they have many problems that need to be ironed out. The food has potential-we especially liked the buffalo burger option. Everyone in our group thought the buns were too soggy on the bottom, but were otherwise good quality. The power went out tonight towards the end of our meal. We sat for quite some time with no one clearing plates off our table which got kind of rank after a while. Then they had no computers to print checks nor run credit cards, so other diners started getting quite irritated as we were pretty much held hostage while they were waiting for their computers to reboot. About 20 minutes waiting-still with now nasty smelling food left on our table, our waiter finally came to explain the problem. The manager made no appearances which was shocking as there were several customers like us just sitting there waiting for some form of communication! Instead, the waiter conveyed the message from the manager which seems quite cowardly on the managers part. Its sad to see a place that has potential to be so poorly managed. We were irritated, but felt bad for the waiter as it was just unacceptable for the manager to not make an appearance in hopes that some locals may give it a second chance.

Our expectations were moderate, but peer pressure... our friends posted on facebook that they went here. So, we are watching Food network and they were showing burgers, so off we went to Square one. Perhaps they should start back at square one and try again because let me tell you - we will never visit there again. The only good thing we had was the Brown cow milk shake and the Wo-hoo fries. That's because the fries were covered in mushroom gravy and cheese. A boat shoe sole might be good covered in mushroom gravy and cheese. My wife had the rise and shine burger. Might be named that because you will rise and run to the bathroom due to all of the grease. Plain, no taste beef burger. I went with the Buffalo Bob. I am sorry Bob, the buffalo that you lost your life only to be treated so poorly in the kitchen. I've had buffalo before and it was flavorful. The one tonight - nope. No flavor. I had a draft beer which was not as cold as I like, so they get zero points for that. Unfortunately, we signed up for their E-mail club. UN-Subscribe will be the first thing we do when we get an e-mail from them... Funny that a recent reviewer posted that they ate there and then walked on the Pinellas Trail. Hope they walked in the direction of a bathroom.

This is, first and foremost, a burger place. So how can I give this place 5 stars, something I reserve for a place like Bern's and a few other places like the French Laundry. Commander's Palace, Chez Panisse, Jean Georges, and Le Bernardin? This is a classy burger place! OK it's not really in the same class with those above, but it was very, very good. As first timers, we were elated to discover $3 onion rings on Weds. But are the onion rings any good? We have all suffered through the greasy concoction where the first bite causes the breading to separate from the onion. These not only were not that kind, but they were some of the most perfectly made onion rings. They were served along with something called "Sooner Sauce." It had a base of ranch dressing but had a bite to it, much like a remoulade. It was a nice complement to the crispy, fat, mountain (wuff!) of onion rings. Yes, we were pigs and finished them all. I ordered something called a Decadent Daddy: a Kobe burger with caramelized onions, curly leaf lettuce, brie and sun-dried tomato mayo on a brioche bun. Our bubbly and lovely waitress, Ginger, recommended I go for the whole 9 yards and order it with a fried egg on it. I did. The sweet potato fries, with cinnamon and sugar just dusting them, were very good, but too much to eat. The beef was so incredibly flavorful that after the first bite, I simply set the burger back on the plate and looked at it in wonder. Seldom have I had beef this good...and please don't tell me about those salt and sugar soaked pieces of cow carcass the larger chains serve hot off their barbies: We are just not of the same class with organically fed cows on special farms. While it's true I didn't go out and see the farms, I know what the web sites say about Square One and I tend to take them at their word. My wife had the Poblano Peño Cheeseburger: it had roasted poblano chiles, fresh jalapeños, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion on brioche bun with cilantro-lime cream sauce. It was also listed as "Not for the faint hearted!" She wisely took the jalapenos off, except for the several from which she offered me a bite. It was fire city and her cole slaw and my beer worked well to put the fire out. One last note about the beef quality. I would always order truly excellent quality beef almost as rare as I can get it if allowed. I ordered my Kobe beef rare, just blackened on the outside and it was exceptional. My wife, God bless her, has never ordered anything less that medium well done, something which for the last 30 years has always frosted my cake. However even this beef, when cooked to her specification, tasted delicious. That has to be the mark of a really good burger place. We shared their beer sampler where I could get 4. First, I tried the Square One Red Ale, Dogfish 90 Minute IPA, Cigar City Jai Alai IPA and a really full bodied ale called Goose Honker'sher, which was my wife's favorite. I am very fond of IPA's and the Jai Ali was better than I expected. In fact, by comparison, I liked it better than the Dogfish Head, something which made me think that there was something wrong with the DH: it just tasted a bit underwhelming for some reason. The House Red Ale had excellent flavor but was almost monochromatic. It would have been excellent had it not been in the company of three superlative brews. Ginger (who is almost as delightfully bubbly as a cheerleader without being irritating or brain-dead) came by with a dessert enticement, but we could hardly look at it. I am not much of a dessert person anyway, but the few selections appeared to be of excellent quality and variety. I am impressed with this restaurant!. Lastly, this place isn't cheap, but it's lots better than places that serve things with roughly the same names. If I recover, I'm going back for onion rings and an elk burger. If not, I'll probably just sneak in one late night for a Lamb burger and fries. Maybe I'll have a brew or two just to be friendly.

I was visiting from Atlanta on business. A local recommended I try it for dinner. The Bison Burger was excellent. Extremely cool decor and a very friendly staff. Nice bar for watching sports. Hope they bring the restaurant to the Atlanta area it would do great....there is nothing like it in Georgia. Loved it!

i was NOT impressed with this VERY OVERPRICED fancy burger joint.!! i had to send my"teenie weenie" burger back TWICE,before they got it cooked RIGHT!.the decor is simular 2 western steakhouse, its OK,but i think they cooda spent less on decor, and brought the prices down a bit. average price for a 6oz burger w/fixins BEGINS @8bucks! I HAD PURCHASED A GROUPON thinking that it was a good deal. FOR THE SAME PRICE i can go to CHILIS or APPLEBYS and get a CHARGRILLED BURGER,& for 2 dollars more,EAT STEAK!!!dont waste your time people, unless of course you dont really care about how much you pay for so little when it comes to eating out. the location is in wierd stripmall, and NOT really near TYRONE MALL, but near park st./tyrone. theres a one way parking lot in front which is confusing. there is parking on side however. if this chain wants to compete with any other gormet burger joints, then they hav a LONG WAY to GO in my opinion. the gormet burgers that you pay LESS for are FAR better!! i dont mind paying 8bks for an 8oz or better burger @ a simular restaurant if (CHARBROILED)cooked over coals instead of a flat grill. JUST TASTE SO MUCH BETTER!!!!. I DEFINETELY WONT RETURN AGAIN. and i spend ALOT each month eating out.
